What to Expect

Hello everyone, it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the permanent closure of Windham Chiropractic at the end of February. I have been offered and have accepted an amazing position to be clinic director for an amazing Chiropractic office down south. Unfortunately, as you may know, raising a family and living in New England is extremely difficult on a single income, and I believe the best opportunity I have to support my family is outside of the northeast. I have lived in the northeast my whole life and worked in southern New Hampshire my entire career. It has been an honor to help my patients live a better life, and I will miss every one of you dearly. If you wish to come see me one last time, get an adjustment, and say goodbye please do so by February 28th. We will continue to monitor our email [email protected] so if anyone wants to get in touch with us after the move that is the easiest way. It has truly been a pleasure.

Love you all
Dr. Barry St. Onge Jr

The Windham Chiropractic Experience

DrBarryandAlyssa

When we say "time to heal" we mean it in more ways than one. Time to heal means that you are never rushed so that we can get to the next patient. Dr. Barry prides himself on being the person who actually hears his patients and finding the best solution for them. If he feels that chiropractic is not the best fit for you, he isn't afraid to say so.

At your first appointment, you will not be charged for the visit unless you are actually adjusted. The exam and consultation with the chiropractor are complimentary for all first-time patients.

If you are planning on going through insurance, you will need to provide your insurance card and a photo ID for your file. The receptionist will give your insurance company a call to find out what your chiropractic benefits are for your plan.

You will need to fill out some forms in the office, or you may have already filled them out here. Then Dr. Barry will go over these forms with you, ask you questions, perform any exams he deems necessary from that information, and finally move on to treatment if he feels it is safe to do so

You may be wondering what your treatment plan may look like. This is different depending on each patient, but the general categories are:

Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our chiropractic office, our first objective is to help you reduce pain and start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition which is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week for 4-12 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100% functioning. It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 4-8 times per month for 6-24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.
